Product description

Sugaring Standard is the traditional sugaring which is also called FIRM SUGARING. Which has a medium hardness that you should use with your hands, but you may also use it with strips. Sugaring was developed using the old traditional formula by adding some extracts to take care of your skin while the sugaring solution is removing your unwanted hair. We highly recommend that you use Standard Sugaring on the body, bikini, legs, face and chin. If consistency is hard you may add 1 drop of hot water and mix again. Be sure your skin is completely dry and clean. Free of lotions and creams. Be sure your underarms and bikini area is completely dry. If any sugaring sticks to your skin simply wash this part and dry very well if continuing sugaring. Or with a small piece of sugaring without mixing stick to the other part and remove. Anything anyone does improves through training, so you should realize that you won’t be a sugaring professional starting from the first time you use this procedure. It usually requires 2 to 3 times in order to master sugaring techniques for hair removal.

Product Description

Sugar waxing, or “sugaring” is gaining popularity and growing in notoriety for its benefits over conventional waxing. So what it is and how does it work? Sugaring is a process during which the sugar paste is applied to the desired area and sticks, and essentially removes hair without attaching to the skin. The paste can be applied at room temperature or heated to a lukewarm temperature, minimizing the risk of burns. For this reason (among many others), sugaring is generally preferred over waxing when it comes to removing hair from larger areas of skin. I personally love sugaring because, like Culinary Cosmetics, sugaring paste can be prepared with common household food items such as water, sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, honey and molasses. Getting the correct consistency takes practice for most users, but, for those who don’t want to make their own, pre-made sugar paste is also sold. The most common recipe for sugaring wax is as follows:

Advantages of sugar waxing over ordinary waxing

  1. Sugar will not stick to live skin cells, only dead skin cells are removed, so there is no risk of abrasion or tearing.
  2. Sugar paste is luke warm when it is applied, So there is no risk of burning the skin.
  3. Sugar paste is applied against the direction of hair growth then removing the hair in the natural direction of growth … resulting in less painful hair removal and eliminating hair breakage.
  4. Hair growth only needs to be 1/8 inch after shaving or 1/16 inch after sugaring! (May vary depending on individual and hair type).
  5. Sugaring is so gentle it can remove the vellus hair on some woman’s faces and is safe for clients with sensitivities, eczema and psoriasis.
  6. Sugar paste dissolves easily with water leaving no sticky residue left on your skin.

What is sugaring wax ?

Similar to waxing, sugaring removes body hair by quickly pulling the hair from the root. The name for this method comes from the paste itself, which consists of lemon, water, and sugar. The ingredients are all heated together until it reaches a candy-like consistency. Once it cools it's applied directly to the skin.

Depending on how much hair you’re removing and how fast you are, your waxing experience will likely last around 30 minutes to an hour.

Here are the first steps for using sugaring wax:

  1. After you’re lying down, you should clean the area and apply talcum powder to make the hair stand out.
  2. Spread a ball of the paste against the grain of hair growth and then lightly tug in the direction of hair growth.
  3. Because of the nature of sugar wax, it can be reapplied to the same area several times to get more precise removal.
  4. Unlike wax, sugaring doesn’t stick to the skin so the cleanup is fairly simple. Any residue will come off the skin with water.

For waxing, here’s what to expect:

  1. Clean the area and follow with a pre-wax treatment, typically an oil or powder, to protect the skin from irritation.
  2. Next up, spread a thin layer of the wax in the same direction as hair growth.
  3. To remove, use paper or cloth (for soft waxes) or remove the entire strip of wax itself (for hard waxes), going against the grain of hair growth. Because of this method, hair is more prone to breakage.
  4. Since wax adheres to skin, it’s only applied a single the area once or twice to avoid further irritation.
  5. Once all the hair is removed, soothe the area with a serum or lotion. This also prevents ingrown hairs.
  6. If there’s any leftover wax residue, remove it with an oil-based cleanser
